I have signed on with an agent who has agreed to try to sell my humor memoir, which I've been working on for over five years - ok, working is too strong a verb. It's been more like nibbling around the edges, but apparently it was good enough to attract my new agent (I LOVE writing that part.)
This gives me official permission to spend working hours on this, since it's now a money-producing venture. Or at least I hope it will be. We're selling it using a proposal, so my energies are currently focused on completing the first chapter and doing all the research for the proposal. It's very exciting. Couldn't come at a better time.
